Book Club

The Glassy Mountain Book Discussion Club is a women’s group that meets monthly in private homes, usually on the third Wednesday at 7:00 pm from March to October. January, February, and November discussions are on a slightly different schedule. Participants choose books quarterly by bringing “book commercials” to the meeting for a vote.  

We read a wide variety, both fiction and nonfiction, including biography and memoir. A rotating moderator researches the author and issues before guiding discussion. Everyone jumps in with their opinion.  Occasionally we agree with one another, and we always respect one another, enlightened by the ideas of our neighbors.
